Saville Manor is a beautiful Grade II listed property overlooking the Durdham Downs. It was once the residence of a local dignitary, and has stunning interiors that are in keeping with its distinguished past.
The peaceful lounge area adjoins an airy dining room with patio doors. From here, a raised balcony overlooks a spacious lawn, which is framed by trees and shrubs. There are stunning views from all parts of the house including the spacious bedrooms.
Saville Manor enjoys a quiet residential location but is close to Druid Hill, Blackboy Hill and Westbury Village, apart from the close proximity of the vast and lush Downs.
Type of Care
Saville Manor (42 bedrooms) provides care for people with enduring physical conditions or conditions resulting in physical disability. The primary aim is to assess needs in the context of remaining abilities, habits and lifestyle. Support or assistance is then provided in daily living according to individual choices and preferences while clinical health risks are managed.
We can facilitate long or short term care, respite, convalescence, placement whilst waiting for specialist external assessment for a permanent care package, hospital admission avoidance and packages for people with complex or unstable needs (Continuing Healthcare). Dedicated care is also provided for people who are approaching the end of their life.

People told us they felt safe and happy living at Saville Manor. Comments people made included; “they handle the delicate matter of care well” and they are “very respectful around personal care”.
We saw warm and friendly relationships between the staff and people who lived in the home. During an afternoon of entertainment from a singer, members of staff danced with people. There was laughter and obvious good humour between them.
Comments included one person telling us, "I feel like a member of a big family."
One person said they were; “very respected” by staff. Another comment was; “they are very good, very caring, in particular [name] is a very lovely member of staff”.
