What is Mental Health Care?

Mental health care is suitable for people requiring treatment and support to manage emotional, psychological, personal and behavioural challenges. There is regular and frequent input from mental health professionals, medication management, crisis intervention and support with daily activities to improve psychological wellbeing.
Our care is tailored to each individual’s needs, ensuring that every resident receives the right support for their specific situation.

Types of Mental Health Conditions We Support

Complex Dementia

Complex Dementia is a term used to describe conditions whereby individuals may have more than one type of dementia, for example Alzheimer’s and Vascular dementias. It can also be used to describe presentation of those with symptoms caused by dementia itself but resembling mental health conditions. Lastly, it may mean that an individual affected by a psychological disturbance also develops dementia which is now a primary issue for them. Regardless of cause for complexity of dementia related needs, affected persons experience high levels of anxiety or distress.

Functional Mental Health

Functional Mental Health is a term used to describe mental health conditions such as schizophrenia, bipolar disorder or personality disorder. Symptoms of these conditions frequently persist into old age or, less frequently, begin in old age. People affected by these conditions are more likely to experience various difficulties including cognitive impairment, poor physical health and social exclusion.
