Why Culverhayes is the Right Choice for Your Loved One

We believe in providing specialist care that’s as individual as each Resident we support. Our approach combines professional expertise with genuine understanding, delivered within distinct wings that are each designed to provide the perfect environment for different care needs. The heritage of our building, combined with modern adaptations, creates a unique setting where Residents feel secure and valued.

"We are all very pleased with how well my sister has been looked after by the staff and carers. A lovely, pleasant home. It gives us all peace of mind knowing that most of the time, she seems very happy. Down to how well she is looked after — so Many thanks to all who care for her."

Premium Physiotherapy Packages

We understand that maintaining mobility and independence is of the utmost importance for our Residents’ well-being. At Culverhayes, our Residents have the option to purchase a Premium Physiotherapy Package with one of our Cedar Care Physiotherapists. All of our physiotherapists have previously worked as care assistants, giving them the ability to navigate the challenges associated with helping those in their later years to get back to their best. They have a genuine passion for caring for the elderly and vulnerable, and are keen to help Residents to maintain their independence or regain motor skills where they can. We know that starting a new service can be daunting, especially when it is focused on physical activity. If you are unsure if the Premium Physiotherapy Package is for you, you can request a free Taster Week by speaking with the Home Manager. What Our Residents Say

Real Stories, Real People

Culverhayes has provided exceptional care to my father. To sustain this level of care with the demands they are faced with at times is a credit to them. The attention to individual needs, likes and dislikes of my father means that as family we can have time away from the nursing home knowing that his needs are met. The home liaises with the family when necessary and holds regular meetings to update/discuss the future of the nursing home and events upcoming.

Daughter of Resident 10 April 2025

I cannot sufficiently describe the sense of wellbeing that comes from knowing that a loved one is being properly cared for. The management and staff and Culvehayes are exceptional. Professional, caring, proactive, considerate and genuinely committed to providing the best care possible. From the wellbeing co-ordinator to the carers, nursing and management, all are a pleasure to deal with. Thank you!

Daughter of Resident 3 April 2025

My Friend has been at Culverhayes for nearly 3 years. The care she gets is great. all staff are so friendly and caring. The food is lovely, well balanced and good choices, menu is changed regularly which keeps mealtimes interesting. The gardens are lovely for an afternoon in the sun with my friend. The wellbeing staff come up with entertainments for residents to relax and enjoy. The housekeeping team keeps the place clean; residents’ clothes washed daily, so they always look their best. I could not have found a better place for my friend.

Friend of Resident 19 March 2025

I really cannot praise the staff in this home enough, they are caring, and patient with the residents, it almost brings a tear to my eye every time I visit to see how they are with them all. Dealing with dementia must be such a challenging role and I don't know how they do it day in and day out. We haven't met a single member of staff that have not given their all to provide the best possible level of care. I could single out individuals but they are all so fantastic.

Friend of Resident 9 April 2024

All the staff I met were just so kind, caring, polite and respectful to my friend and me. There was no "rush" in any aspect of the conversation the staff had with my friend or me. My friend is so genuinely cared for, even loved. I have complete confidence my friend is safe, secure and respectfully looked after. I used to be a nurse, and I can assure you Culverhayes is doing its job 100%.
