We understand that maintaining mobility and independence is of the utmost importance for our Residents’ wellbeing. For this reason, Oakhill Mansions has an on-site physiotherapist, meaning that Oakhill Mansions’s Residents benefit from their input free-of-charge. The physiotherapist carries out an initial assessment on mobility, and subsequent mobility care plan reviews thereafter.
Our Residents can also opt to purchase an intensive Premium Physiotherapy Package to work on a targeted area. We know that starting a new service can be daunting, especially when it is focused on physical activity. If you are unsure if the Premium Physiotherapy Package is for you, you can request a free Taster Week by speaking with the Home Manager. More details on our Premium Physiotherapy Packages can be found here.
We offer flexible care solutions to meet varying needs:
My husband has been so very well treated in Oakhill. His sisters & I have always been impressed with the genuine love & care he receives here. The staff are so lovely & take care of his every need. There's nothing I can fault. Food is excellent & plentiful, with good choices to suit everyone's needs. If I ended up in here I think I would really happy to be in such a lovely environment.
The staff at The Lodge, Oakhill Mansions are caring for my 96 year old mum in a sensitive manner. She has had a stroke and also has a diagnosis of Lewy Body Dementia. She is always treated with respect and my siblings and I are confident that she is happy, safe and secure in this care home.
I cannot praise the home enough. Even though I only came for a short while, for recuperation after an operation. I was able to get a very good view of what was happening, on a daily basis in this home. I cannot praise the staff enough, nothing was too much trouble. They were kind thoughtful and nothing was too much trouble well done.
I remember how much myself and family were concerned about being requested to move my husband to a new care home. 20th January 2023, the move was made, and within 24 hours, my fears were elevated. The staff went above and beyond to find out about his wants and needs. The nursing care is brilliant: he was sleeping more than he should, so they reduced and eventually stopped one of his medications. The change in him is amazing - he is so much more alert and active. I cannot praise all the staff enough! Text
I had to find a care home for my mother, who has been diagnosed with vascular dementia. I came across Oakhill Mansions in Westbury on Trym. Upon the very first visit I made to have a look around, and I was made to feel welcome. The home was clean, the staff were friendly, caring and professional, and residents seemed happy. My mother moved in soon after. I can honestly say that I could not have wished for anywhere nicer for my mother to go. She is so well looked after, and the staff are amazing.
