Job Requirements

Hours of work

  • Full-time and part-time available
  • Full-time: 38.5 hours per week including weekends
  • (42 scheduled hours per week minus breaks)

Job Role

  • Prepare and serve all food to ensure a balanced, nutritious diet for all Residents as well as maintaining high standards of hygiene in the kitchen
  • Work according to guidance from the Home Manager and as a team with the Registered Nurses to meet the needs and preferences of the Residents
  • Manage the performance of Kitchen staff


We are looking for experience in some or all of the following areas:


  • Health and safety certificate
  • Food hygiene certificate
  • NVQ level 2 or 3 in Food Preparation and Cooking

Work Experience

  • Previous experience of working in a kitchen essential
  • Working to deadlines

Skills and Abilities

  • Good verbal and written communication
  • Organising and coordinating skills
  • Can adapt well to working independently and in a team
  • Team leading abilities
