Job Requirements

Hours of work

Full-time and part-time available
Full-time: 38.5 hours per week including weekends
(42 scheduled hours per week minus breaks)

Job Role

Prepare and serve all food to ensure a balanced, nutritious diet for all Residents as well as maintaining high standards of hygiene in the kitchen
Work according to guidance from the Home Manager and as a team with the Registered Nurses to meet the needs and preferences of the Residents
Manage the performance of Kitchen staff

Experience

We are looking for experience in some or all of the following areas:

Qualifications

Health and safety certificate
Food hygiene certificate
NVQ level 2 or 3 in Food Preparation and Cooking

Work Experience

Previous experience of working in a kitchen essential
Working to deadlines

Skills and Abilities

Good verbal and written communication
Organising and coordinating skills
Can adapt well to working independently and in a team
Team leading abilities
