Culverhayes

Lymore Avenue, Twerton Bath, BA2 1AY

Culverhayes Nursing Home was originally Culverhayes School. It occupies a prime position at the highest point of Lymore Avenue, with spacious grounds and stunning views of Bath. The home has three separate wings dedicated to care and support to meet the varying types and levels of need of the people living in the home. The Culver and Lymore Wings are environments for mental disorder and/or dementia. The Hayes Wing is designed primarily for dementia care for those in the middle to late stages of dementia, who might require extra support. The home has been decorated to enable stimulation and orientation and the grounds contain safe and secure areas enabling Residents to move freely. Our Residents have the convenience of a local corner shop, which is frequently visited for everyday items. The adjacent playing grounds also contribute to the real community atmosphere surrounding Culverhayes. Long or short-term care, respite, convalescence, and placement care is offered to those that need specialist care, and palliative care can also be provided.

We are excited to announce the refurbishment of our communal areas in the Hayes and Culver Wings. Reconstruction has already commenced and has been planned in such a way that it causes minimal disruption to our Residents’ everyday lives. The reason for the reconstruction is to create more communal spaces which will benefit our Residents’ differing preferences and abilities. Please speak to our Home Manager at Culverhayes should you have any further questions on the spaces that we are developing.

I think you are all doing a fantastic job during these very difficult times. Your staff are fantastic and so friendly. So thank you all so much for the work you all do. You do a great job looking after my sister.

Culverhayes has been fantastic for my mum. The staff are exceptional. They are always warm, caring and genuinely friendly with Mum and help her with her daily needs. Mum is always well presented and clean which helps her keep her dignity. Keep up the great work. Thank you.

I am delighted with the care given to my husband by the dedicated staff at Culverhayes (Hayes unit). He always looks clean and tidy and reacts well when the carers try to talk to him. He is shown respect and kindness. My husband loves the food and is helped to eat it as this is necessary. They should feel proud of the results they achieve, I am made to feel very welcome on my frequent visits.
