Grosvenor Villas residents had a most welcomed visit from the Ice Cream Van organised by Cedar Care. Due to the scorching weather, it all went down really well for staff and residents, and we served over a hundred portions of ice cream. Hearing and seeing the ice cream van invoked many memories for the residents. The staff listened to several stories of residents’ summer holidays and beach trips, and one resident shared his memory of eating the ice cream leftovers from his parents’ shop at the end of every day! Everybody enjoyed their time outside with yummy ice creams. The staff also offered treats to the residents in their bedrooms.
Queen’s Jubilee celebration
At Grosvenor Villas, the Residents, staff, relatives and friends have enjoyed the Queen Jubilee weekend together. Residents and staff members created unique decorations to set a superb celebration atmosphere. Many visitors of all ages arrived, but the Orchid Villa staff were prepared with lots of garden games, a photo shoot with The Queen and her guards, a mini raffle, music and some delicious food. They also planted a traditional Plum Tree in the garden to commemorate The Platinum Jubilee of Her Majesty The Queen. The weather worked out perfectly, and everybody had a blast.
We are excited to announce the official opening of Dearbourne Manor!
On Friday, 1st of April, we have opened our brand-new home in Bristol. We invited a special guest, Sue Tucker who opened the home. Sue has chosen to be the first Resident to be admitted to Dearbourne Manor.
After cutting the ribbon, we welcomed our guests and started the ceremony, during which we showed our guests and Sue around the home and her new room. After the tour, we shared a delicious high tea with a celebration cake of which Sue did the honor of cutting.
